Daphne Script
We are very pleased to welcome a new addition to our Georg Salden Library: Daphne Script, an elegant script typeface based on Salden’s handwriting with a broad-nib pen. Building on his earlier typeface Daphne (which itself is based on a model written with a broad-nib pen), Salden set out to design a more refined and sophisticated script, featuring delicate strokes and flourishing curves. Numerous alternate characters — especially for the ornamental capital letters and for letters at the ends of words — offer a wide range of advanced typographic possibilities.
Daphne Script is based on Georg Salden’s own cursive handwriting. The result is a charming design with elegantly curved characters, calligraphic swashes, and a variety of alternate characters.
