Stylistic Alternates
Alternate glyphs of the characters a, d, g, y and ß can be applied via Stylistic Set 01 (InDesign) or Stylistic Alternates (QuarkXpress, Illustator, Photoshop). A second set of alternates for g and ß is available via Stylistic Set 02.

Contextual Ligatures
Contextual ligatures are available for ch und ck. You can add swashes to h and k using the Contextual Alternates features (see below).

Contextual Alternates
A large number of swashes are available to add to certain characters. Type either a sequence of asterisks before a character or a sequence of plus signs after a character. Typing a # replaces the glyph with the corresponding alternate form. Swashes also available for many accented and other language-specific characters.

Ligatures
Ligatures are designed to improve the kerning and readability of certain letter pairs. For example, when this feature is activated, typing ‘f’ and ‘i’ will automatically produce the ‘fi’ ligature.

Historical Form
The lowercase s will be replaced by its historical form. You can also add swashes to the long s by using the Swash feature or Contextual Alternates.

Ordinals
This feature replaces default alphabetic glyphs with the corresponding ordinal forms.

Oldstyle Figures
Daphne Expert fonts contain various styles of numerals within each font. Proportional Lining Figures come standard. The Proportional Oldstyle Figures feature changes standard figures to Oldstyle Figures with ascenders and descenders.

Tabular Figures
Tabular figures are for use in tables where numerals need to be aligned vertically. Tabular figures are available as an OpenType feature and have a fixed width in all weights.

Arbitrary Fractions
All fonts already include a number of pre-designed diagonal fractions. The fraction feature allows you to create other fractions quickly and easily.

Superscript / superiors
Replaces all figures with their superior alternates, which can be used for footnotes, formulas, etc.

Subscript / inferiors
Replaces all figures with their inferior alternates, used primarily for mathematical or chemical notation.

Correct typographical glyphs e.g. in Romanian (commaaccent replaces cedilla) and Turkish (dotaccent on the small caps lower case i).
